7 REASONS YOU’RE OVERPAYING FOR SUPPLEMENTS - AND HOW TO STOP

7 REASONS YOU’RE OVERPAYING FOR SUPPLEMENTS - AND HOW TO STOP

Weird feeling you’re paying too much for supplements? You could well be right…

How much did you spend on your last supplement order? When we found out that we’ve regularly been paying 80% (yes, eight-zero!) too much, we were shocked. And angry! And we set out to discover where 80% of our basket cost was going.

If you saw behind the scenes of the multi-billion-pound supplement industry, you’d be amazed. That fitness supplement or protein powder you use? It’s a tiny fraction of the everyday corporate activity at a big brand.

Good news - there’s a new buyers’ club turning the industry on its head, and we’ve found out how you can actually join now. If you want total transparency (and much lower prices), it’s the way forward!

WHY THE WAY YOU BUY FITNESS SUPPLEMENTS HAS TO CHANGE!

1. YOU’RE PAYING FOR A BRAND NAME

We’ve all got a favourite brand, but stop and ask yourself why and you’ll struggle to come up with an answer. Big brands are really clever at getting into your hearts (and wallets). But the trouble is, who’s paying to keep the corporate side of a brand going? You! Learn more about how you can change all that.

2. YOU’RE PAYING FOR CELEBS AND INFLUENCERS

OMG, we could go on about this one all day. Do you know how much celebrities and famous names get paid to advertise (or even just to recommend) a protein powder or wellness supplement? Trust us, you’d be furious if you knew how much of your supplement’s price tag went into that.

3. YOU’RE PAYING FOR MYSTERY INGREDIENTS

This one shouldn’t even be allowed. After all, health and fitness supplements are either going in your body or on your skin. We don’t want any unnecessary ingredients at all, let alone pay for them! We’ll pay for what we need – nothing more, thanks.

4. YOU’RE PAYING FOR RETAIL OVERHEADS

When you buy supplements online, why on earth would you want to pay for shops, big offices, and other retail costs. Go online, select your products, pay, and wait for delivery. That’s all the “retail” you should chip in for.

5. YOU’RE PAYING A “MIDDLE MAN”

Please don’t say you’re still buying protein supplements from a high street store. It’s not the 90s! Go straight to the source and cut out the middle man. The only people involved in your supplement shop should be you and the brand you buy from.

6. YOU’RE PAYING FOR RIDICULOUS PACKAGING

Packaging is important. But good-looking packaging can be a LOT cheaper than what we’re used to paying! Take a look at this fun “buyers’ club” supplement site which is doing amazing things – step inside.

7. YOU’RE PAYING FOR A PROMISE

This is probably the most depressing mark-up of them all. The existential promise of wellness… or wellbeing… or whatever it is. If your supplement can’t be clear about what it does, how it works, and what you should expect, then you’re over-paying.

STOP OVERPAYING FOR HEALTH AND FITNESS SUPPLEMENTS

We’ve spent too many years paying FAR too much for health and fitness supplements. Don’t accept the norm on this. It’s 2020 – we can all access top quality protein supplements and wellbeing products at a fair price.

Yep, everything you’ve suspected about the cost of supplements is true. But it ends here. Take a look at Smart Protein and take back control of your supplement spend!
